She was born July 30, 1913, in Joliet, Ill., and moved to this area in 1973 from Chicago, Ill. Mrs. Himes was a retired school teacher in Joliet. She enjoyed playing the piano at LaCase Mobile Home Park and North Port Pines Returement Center and was a member of the Venice Presbytarian Church. Mrs. Hines is survived by her sister, Phyllis Halpin of Georga; nieces, Carol (Edward) Kocjan, Sharon (John) Kunke, Susan (Frank) Derner, Denis (Richard) Long, Diane Ingles, and Marilyn John (Behun); and nephews, Mark (Cindy) Himes, and Den- nis (Linda) Himes, all from the Joliet area; cousins, Betty Lou (David) Smowton of FLorida, and Marian (Andy) Callahan and June Lubick, both of Illi- nois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Himes. |
