Ellen Ivie Vietti passed away on Saturday, February 16th, 2002, at Carson Tahoe Hospital. She was born to Albert and Amelia Lund-berg in Sparks, Nevada, on January 21, 1918. She was a long time Reno resident where she worked at Reno Vulcanizing and Arman-ko's Office Supply as a bookkeeper. After the Armanko's Store closed, she worked as the accountant for the YWCA up until 1994, when she retired. She was active at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church from 1945 to 1955. She participated in the women's auxiliary that raised funds for the Catholic School. She most enjoyed activities with her huge family, which was her primary focus. For the last four years she was a resident of Carson City. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vierti, Sr. in 1963 and her first born son, John Jr. in 1944 and three sisters, Goldie Lague, Audry Hughes, and Agatha Huylar. She is survived by two sisters. Alberta Parks of Reno and Vera Francum of Payson, Utah; three children, Shirley Vierti of Tucson, Arizona; Ronald Vietti of Carson City; and Raymond Vietti of Reno. She is also survived by her 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. A high Mass and will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Reno on Friday, February 22, 2002, at 11:30 AM. Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church, 1138 Wright Street, Reno. The interment will immediately follow the Mass at Our Mother of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery, 2700 N. Virginia Street
